A Focus in Metal Working
Industrial design is a vast discipline with many areas to focus in. I chose to hone in on working with metal and learning the skills required to craft objects in this medium. I believe that having this skill will allow me to understand the tolerances of metal and develop better prototypes that require its use.
This ring is made from sterling silver and textured using stippling and filing techniques to develop a unique design inspired by the Colorado Rockies.
Cold Joinery
This brass pendant was made using chasing techniques and held together with hidden rivets. It is a representation of a brain combined with an atomic explosion as a backdrop to an open mouth. A piece that acknowledges all of the things you want to say.
